During the 41st week of the year (07/10-13/10/2024), a total of 2,393 cases of influenza and acute respiratory illnesses were recorded among the monitored population of 364,295 people. The number of cases reported was , with an incidence rate of 65.69 per 10,000 population, representing a slight increase from the previous week when 2,349 cases were reported with an incidence rate of 64.48 per 10,000 individuals. The incidence rate among the 0-4 age group is 267.13 per 10,000 individuals in the 0-4 age group, and in the 5-14 age group, it is 203.49 per 10,000 individuals. The level of morbidity demonstrates a slight increase in comparison to the preceding week's figures, which is typical for this season. A total of 26 samples were examined at the national reference laboratory, none of which yielded isolated influenza viruses.
The investigated samples from children under the age of five did not confirm the presence of influenza viruses. However, other respiratory viruses, including adenovirus (AdV) and five other types, were isolated.
