During week No. 44 (28.10-3.11.2024), 2 136 cases of influenza and acute respiratory diseases (ARD) were recorded among the monitored population of 364 547, an incidence of 58.59 per 10 000 population (previous week - 2 374 recorded cases, incidence of 65.17 per 10 000 population). The incidence in the age group 0-4 years was 257.64 per 10,000 population and in the age group 5-14 years was 155.62 per 10,000 population. The level of morbidity shows a slight decrease compared to the previous week's indicators, but is within the usual range for the season.

In the national reference laboratory "Influenza and ARI" 66 clinical samples of patients with ARI were tested. Two influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 viruses and 14 SARS-CoV-2 viruses were detected.

56 clinical samples were additionally tested for 8 non-influenza respiratory viruses: respiratory syncytial virus, metapneumovirus, parainfluenza viruses type 1/2/3, adenoviruses, rhinoviruses and bocaviruses. 

4 type 1 parainfluenza viruses, 2 type 2 parainfluenza viruses, 12 rhinoviruses, 5 adenoviruses and 4 bocaviruses have been demonstrated.

A total of 4 influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 viruses and one influenza B/Victoria virus have been proven in weeks No43 and No44.
